Signet of Capture ..does it have a shelf life?
This is not a joke, I have already gotten my Tyrian and Canthan Elite Skill Hunter Titles and I was on my way to doing NF when I got side tracked maxing Survivor on another one of my characters. Before I stopped I bought all the Signet of Capture's I needed to max Elonian Elite Skill Hunter. Last weekend when it was double xp and green drop rate I decided to brush off my skill hunting hat and finish off NF. I get really excited when i counted that I only needed another 30ish!....Turns out, I had bought 80ish and now 50ish aren't in my skills log? I have reported this is GW but have only got a "we're looking into this for you" and random "help" pages that don't help answer my question.
So to make a long story short... I bought 80 cap sig's about 6 months ago and now 50 are missing. Where are they? I didn't use them, so they should still be there. Thanks for any help!! |

They should be there, maybe you have to use some for the others to show up if there isn't enough room in the skill view.
Even if you have captured all the elite skills you can still use them to capture other skills so I would've thought they would still show. |

I had set my skill log view to small tiles and had moved my window size around so that it showed rows of 10....had 8+ rows of 10 sigs in the "no attribute" bit. They aren't all there now. I didn't use them for normal skills (bar one- but replaced it), Cap'd about 10 elites last weekend but no new ones popped back into where they should be. I sold and borrowed money to buy the sigs in the first place so that I wouldn't spend the cash on anything else and they would be there for me when I wanted to use them. Just will be really annoying having to buy them again.

That is a really weird problem. There is no shelf life on spells, so they should still be there. I would have thought they weren't all showing but if you've used that many and more haven't popped up, I dunno. I only bought them in lots of 10 or so, so I never ran into that.

...that's weird, because my necromancer still has the couple of skill caps I bought her, and I only just dusted her off today after several months' worth of hiatus.
Maybe it just couldn't take the load of 80 skill caps all at once? >< I hope you get them back. |

I have still been using the character as she is my main (Robyn) but haven't been using the cap sig's. I really hope I get them back too!...Just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen before? lol Argh! - Not funny but have to laugh to keep myself sane.

No. About June/July 2008, I bought all the cap sig's I'd need to finish my Elonian Elite Skill Hunter title. Like I said, there were 80 odd in my skill list. Now that is down to..
.. OMG! I just looked. It's down to 12!? I have 76/140 until Elonian Elite SKill Hunter. SO yeah...not all the ones I purchased!. Getting more irritated. |

Yikes, that sounds painful!
You might try putting the remaining sigs in storage til this gets cleared up...maybe leave one on character to see what happens to it. |

I suggest use all the sigs. you got now until some form of divine help arrives.(note that Anet wouldn't do a dam for you) And, well, bad luck, that's all I can say, something happened, maybe a rare bug that deletes cap sigs?(I kept like 2 cap sigs on my necro for over 4 month, nothing happened to them)

Wierd never had that happened to me, about a year ago I bought all cap sigs for my monk, and never used them, they are still all there.

Odd. Sounds like a weird bug as cap sigs don't expire. One of my chars, that has since been regulated to mule duty, still has all her cap sigs(around 30) that I bought years ago, just prior to the original skill's pricing change. Keep at it with support. If nothing can be done for you, then nothing can be done, but at least get them to acknowledge that there's a problem.
